In Burbank, the cafes inside museums, botanical gardens and visitor centers are a good option on a day out, and city parks often host a coffee cart or a seasonal concession stand. Across California, state and national parks list their concession hours online and close early outside the summer season. Check the listing for hours, admission requirements and the Google rating, and use the main cafe and bakery categories for everyday coffee, since the places here are grouped by location rather than by what they serve.

Burbank is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Burbank is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Whoever the cashier was wasnβt very friendly. Very passive and wanted to check me out as quick as possible without making conversation. I heard him making conversation with a few customers before me who so happened to be a collective of white women. He was joking smiling and even laughing along with them. I attempted conversation the first time to see how the service would be if I hadnβt bought anything. It was minimal passive and in the tone of βIβm annoyed, if youβre going to buy something, hurry up.β I never want to make the assumption someone is racist but I canβt help but assume this cashier only cared to make conversation with white patrons. I spent a total of $66 here and he even attempted to charge me again after forgetting to wrap up an item I already paid for. I wonβt be returning despite my love for cats and I refuse to spend my money at such an establishment that obviously cares more about aesthetic and the comfort of white shoppers rather than all shoppers. 0 out of 5 stars if I could. This is another reminder to shop Black owned businesses.

My son and I stopped by here on a recent trip to California. When I was looking up things to see and do around Burbank, I found Catnip Coalition, and when I read that they help kitties get adopted, support cat fosters and contribute to TNR in the area, I knew I had to shop there! What a neat place it was!! There were so many cool vendor booths with anything from vintage clothes and jewelry, to handmade goods, to cat toys and everything in between. We met Nigel and Franklin, the resident shop cats, and we found all kinds of goodies to take home, including a catnip banana that we took home to our own cats (one of them pictured with it). The man behind the counter was really helpful and kind. We'll be back!

Catnip is literally my favorite thrift store in the Burbank area (and maybe all of California if Iβm being honest). Thereβs something for everyone, the prices vary from super cheap to really high end unique finds. Thereβs truly something for everyone. Even my brother, whoβs allergic to cats, had a great time and would come backπ. The staff are super kind and I love that Catnip is a cat rescue as well. You can tell the people behind Catnip have kind and creative souls. ((I donβt know how this place has anything less than 5 stars.

One of my favorite thrift spots mostly for the cutie cats hanging around. As a cat lover I always love to stop and look at the artists they carry who bring their cat art into the shop to sell. Iβve gotten so many cute stickers and prints here!

This is a cool place to see! Vintage finds and cats? Sign me up! π That said, it was a little bit too cramped for me to be able to actually shop to my heartβs content and go through the items comfortably. There was a lot to see and it felt a bit overwhelming. Otherwise though, I liked my visit even though I didnβt purchase anything. It was worth it just to see the cats and the cat-themed items.
